Living Room Soundtrack

In 1967 a 19 year old wrote a song about the end of love, and nobody really paid it much attention.

That same year another song was released and it hit the top of the charts; it eventually became one of the most played songs in the United Kingdom.

Nights in White Satin and A Whiter Shade of Pale have the distinction of being the only two songs I will absolutely stop whatever I am doing to just sit and listen.  For the letters I've written never meaning to send, for the light fandango that I did skip, for 1967, and for an eternal, pure optimism that will never taint, I had to have these pieces for my living room:

You can buy both pieces here or go to the Modani store on Park Avenue South to check them out first - remember that is also where I bought my Audrey Hepburn chair. If they are in stock they'll be in your apartment the next day. Now I live in a white room (you knew that was coming. . . albeit this awesome number came the following year - 1968).

I like the idea of being in a white room with black curtains. But I'm probably going to do pink romans. With black borders.  I think that would look dope.
