To be an adult in a life like this? And really, it's been awhile since I watched that clip, but today I woke up, looked out the window, and was in a Bueller kinda mood. What pearls of wisdom he dispenses in those few short minutes:
It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is highschool.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Isms in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an ism. They should believe in themselves.
Decorating has indeed been moving pretty fast, so today I'm going to take a breather and look around. I don't want to miss a moment of this life. Here's what I have learned so far: Painting, making a mess, staying up late, watching too much TV, talking on the phone till my voice cracks, dancing by myself, playing music as loud as I want, going wherever I want whenever I want and decorating like everyday is Christmas and this apartment is really just my tree is the key to chic decor.
It's been right here all along, this perfect life. I just needed to lose the clutter and the baggage. And turn the radio up and dance.
Today I'm getting my TV and I'm going to see about connecting the AppleTV to the TV. May want a Snickers for breakfast and need to order this book immediately:
You should, too. Don't ask questions. It's a joke how amazing it is. So I'm off on all these adventures Ferris-style, and while I'm Back to Bueller I hope you will enjoy three guest posters who know a thing or two or three about design. Stay tuned, it's a surprise!
Remember what Heinz ketchup taught us. Good things come to those who wait. And these ladies are well worth it. I'm off to sing in the shower.

Seriously. It's becoming a little scary how many things we both like! I have owned my copy of DOMINO: THE BOOK OF DECORATING for a few years now and when the mag was still being published (bless it's decorating soul) was a devoted and loving subscriber. It IS a FABULOUS book and was an even more FABULOUS mag. XO
